The Hebrew University aspires to promote a respectful and equitable environment, providing a fertile ground for study, professional and social development, exchange of views and knowledge, research and work.

Sexual harassment is any unwanted behavior of a sexual nature, including propositions, references, physical contact and other acts of a sexual nature which violate human dignity. Sexual harassment and intimidation violate human dignity, freedom, privacy and equality between the sexes, and as such also affect work and study relationships. Sexual harassment and intimidation are serious criminal offenses, civil wrongs and a severe disciplinary violations contrary to University policy.

The University aims to stamp out the phenomenon of sexual harassment and advocates a zero-tolerance policy on this issue. The University has appointed Adv. Pepi Yakirevich and Prof. Shulamit Katzav-Shapira as Commissioners for the Prevention of Sexual Harassment.

The Commission for the Prevention of Sexual Harassment has a dual role - on the one hand, to receive and investigate complaints and reports of sexual harassment, order certain interim steps, and provide assistance and support; and on the other hand, to provide training, guidance and counselling on matters of sexual harassment and intimidation for the University community in order to prevent harassment.

We urge you to contact us for any consultation, complaint or report, even anonymously, at hatrada@savion.huji.ac.il or by phone\WhatsApp at 054-8820889, or directly to either of the Commissioners.
