The Law for the Prevention of Sexual Harassment was enacted by the Knesset in 1998 with the purpose of prohibiting sexual harassment in order to protect the human dignity, freedom and privacy of the person, and to promote equality between the sexes.

The Hebrew University Regulations for the Prevention of Sexual Harassment, updated in 2019, feature progressive and unique mechanisms for addressing sexual harassment in the University.
The purpose of these Regulations is to ensure that the University serves as a workplace and learning environment that is free of sexual harassment or persecution arising from harassment.
